The Tub Cutter!® Conversion

Quick Door

Conversion Process

The Tub Cutter!® Conversion process starts with the decision of what portion of the tub skirt will be removed. We move only the items in the area that could fall or be damaged. The skirt is then prepped and cut, the void is supported, the insert or “saddle” is completed onsite to ensure a custom fit to the tub. It is then adhered to the tub with an aquatic glue. Additional safety items are installed, the bathroom cleaned, putting everything back in place. The tub is ready to be used the following morning.

Cast Iron Process

The cast iron process includes taping plastic from ceiling to floor and covering everything but the portion of the tub being removed. There will be no access to the bathroom for 2-4 hours. Once the cutting process is complete, installation moves forward in the same fashion as all other tubs.
